On January 28, 2025, Deputies executed Failure to Appear warrants on John Tillman Flanagan, 36 of Hanceville on 2 counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.

The charges stem from a Morgan County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division case involving a juvenile under the age of 16.
Flanagan, who was already out on bond, failed to show up for court on January 28, 2025, prompting the Circuit Court to issue the FTA warrant. Deputies, assisted by the Cullman County Sheriff's Office and Hanceville Police Department, attempted to locate Flanagan. During that time, Flanagan turned himself in at the Morgan County Jail. 

He was booked in the Morgan County Jail. No bond.
