On April 8, 2025, during an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of Fentanyl, Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Simmons Rd in Hartselle.

During the investigation, Agents conducted a controlled purchase of Fentanyl from the residence. During the ensuing search warrant, agents arrested:

Mark Tyler Mayfield, 33 of Hartselle, and charged him with:

• 13A-12-212 - Dangerous Drugs-Possession Of Dangerous Drugs Fentanyl
• 13A-12-260 - Unlawful Possession Drug Paraphernalia
• 13A-12-260 - Unlawful Possession Drug Paraphernalia
• Warrant: BOND REVOCATION- POSS/REC CONTROL SUBSTANCE
• Warrant: BOND REVOCATION- POSS/REC CONTROL SUBSTANCE
• Warrant: BOND REVOCATION- PARAPHERNALIA

He was transported to and booked in the Morgan County Jail. No Bond due to the Bond Revocation warrants.
